Find out the Gender of Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Tommy Feight's Baby

Mercedes "MJ" Javid and her husband, Tommy Feight, will be welcoming their first child before we know it. We definitely can't wait to meet the little tyke, especially now that we know the gender of the newest addition to the Shahs of Sunset family.

It'll be a boy for MJ and Tommy! That wonderful little nugget of information was included in a recent interview MJ did with PEOPLE as she reflected on becoming a mom just a few weeks before she's set to give birth (E! News previously reported back in October MJ and Tommy would be welcoming a baby boy).

After years of MJ expressing her desire to start a family, it was reported in October 2018 that she and Tommy were expecting their first child. MJ later confirmed the happy news at the Shahs of Sunset Season 7 reunion, which you can relive, above.

MJ told PEOPLE that she found out she was pregnant in August after undergoing IVF, which was not an easy experience. “When you do IVF, you take progesterone shots and medication for almost a month leading up to your [embryo] transfer. You are basically pumping yourself up with hormones,” she said. “That made me gain weight, it made me very moody, it made me feel not my usual self. It is something people don’t know, or maybe they don’t talk about.”

Doctors also had to remove polyps in MJ's uterine lining before they could transfer the embryo. But the difficult road to getting pregnant was definitely worth it for MJ. “That moment was just surreal,” MJ said of the moment she found out she was pregnant. “It was the blessing we had been praying for. It was just the beginning of, ‘Finally, thank God.’"

MJ was also hospitalized in December after having a surgery called a cervical cerclage when it was discovered that her cervix measured too short, which made her high risk for miscarriage. She was then placed on mandatory bed rest. MJ recently showed the deepest gratitude to everything that her medical team has done for her on Instagram.

MJ hasn't been able to contain her excitement about becoming a mom throughout her pregnancy, and we can totally see why. She hasn't been shy about showing off her fierce baby bump and has also been eager to let fans into her baby prep, including getting her nursery in order. 

As MJ and Tommy get ready to bring home baby, they still have one major detail to work out: their son's name. MJ told PEOPLE that she and Tommy "are not on the same page" and "are disagreeing" about the name for their child. “I’m going to make it a win-win for both of us,” she explained.

“I am going to make sure Tommy is happy, and I want it to be a name that is culturally acknowledging his Irish side and my Persian side. I want it to be a name that will be beneficial for someone to have throughout their life, because it is part of your identity.”

MJ admitted that she has some fears as she approaches motherhood for the first time. “The thing I am most afraid of is that the fact that I am responsible for this little creature 24 hours, seven days a week,” she said. “Being a new mom will be nerve-racking. I am going to be worried that I am doing [every] little thing right and worried I’m doing everything wrong.”

However, there is a lot more that MJ is excited about when she finally gets to welcome her little one to the world, as she described to PEOPLE. “I am most excited to fall in love on a different level and [for] motherhood and something that Tommy and I have created together,” she shared. “I am most excited to experience something that apparently you cannot feel unless you experience it.”
