Joe Gorga Says Teresa Giudice Has Caused the Most Fights Between Him and Melissa Gorga
Teresa Giudice has had an impact on The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple's marriage.
Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Joe Gorga may be one big happy family these days (well, for the most part), but we all know that the road to reconciliation wasn't easy for this famiglia. In fact, Melissa and Joe's conflict with Teresa may have had a bigger impact on their marriage than we thought.
Melissa appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday night where she played the game Spousal Support, along with fellow guest Mark Consuelos, which you can check out in the above clip. Each guest was asked a question, and they tried to provide the same answer as their spouse, à la The Newlywed Game.
Melissa was asked to name the cause of the most fights in her relationship with Joe, to which she replied, "Like pet peeves? I run the water too much." But Joe believes the source is a single person: "Teresa," he said from the WWHL audience, causing Melissa to throw her hands up.
After a few peaceful seasons between Teresa and Melissa, they came at odds again this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey over how much time Joe was spending with their father, Giacinto Gorga. Still, Teresa was confident that she and Melissa would never have drama like they had in the past during an interview with The Daily Dish in November. "I think she knows and I know we're never gonna go to that dark place ever again. That was not a good time. A lot of other people involved, too, in the situation ... Melissa, Kathy [Wakile], at the time, it was not a good time. I don't even want to remember that time because that's not really what our family's about. We're all about being there for each other, loving each other," she explained. "So she knows it's never gonna go to that place again; I know it's never gonna go to that place again."
Melissa shared a similar sentiment with E! News back in November. "Am I gonna get on my knees and pray and ask her to stop hurting us? No, it's not gonna get that dramatic, but we do argue. Listen, we are [sisters-in-law], we don't agree on anything, and Teresa and I are at the point where we don't care if the cameras are in the room or not. It's like we're disagreeing on something, we're gonna talk about it, and that's it. It's normal. We're a family. We argue over family things. We actually also argue this year a little bit about the new [Housewives]. We disagree on that a little bit," she said. "So it's just real. We keep it real. It's honest. So if we're gonna have an argument, we're gonna have an argument. But at the end of the day, we're still family. We're not going down that really dark road anymore."
However, it seemed as though a bit of Teresa and Melissa's past tension came out during Part 1 of the RHONJ reunion, which aired Wednesday night. See what we mean, below.
