The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple are switching up their nights together by getting a cosmetic procedure.
Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, might have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last month, but they still know how to keep the spark alive. The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple gave their Instagram followers a look inside one of their most recent outings together, showing their followers that "date night" can have a different meaning 20 years into marriage.
Melissa took to her Instagram Story on Monday, September 16, where she posted two different photos — one of her and one of Joe. In the photo, Joe can be seen staring directly into the camera with white marks made along his forehead, above his eyebrows, in between his eyebrows, and along his crow's feet. Melissa then posted a photo of her, sitting in the car, pushing out her lips and throwing her best peace sign.
"Someone is about to get their brotox," Melissa wrote over the snapshot of Joe, tagging Manhattan-based plastic surgeon, Dr. Kassir. "Me too!" she added over the photo of herself.

Melissa has been very open about the cosmetic procedures that she has gotten done in the past. However, during an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live in January 2024, she revealed that Joe was just a little unhappy when she got her lips done for the first time.
"Obviously, since Season 3 [of RHONJ], I've had a nose job — everybody knows this. I've definitely done Botox, I've done fillers," she explained to host Jeff Lewis.
But, it took Joe a while to get adjusted to her new lips. "He likes these new ones even though it took a minute to actually accept them," she said. "He was so stressed out when I got on the show that I was gonna turn into some, like, 'glamazon' [...] he was like, 'Now you're gonna start with the lips, then it's gonna be this, I'm losing my wife.' So he didn't want me to get lips, and I just got them one day and came home with them and he was livid."

Although they might have disagreed over cosmetic procedures in the past, there is nothing but love between Melissa and Joe — especially after being married for 20 years. Melissa took to Instagram on August 20, where she posted a Reel filled with a series of photos, taken throughout their marriage, in honor of their anniversary. In the caption of the post, Melissa bared her soul to her husband, writing that she was "just a girl" when she married Joe at 25, "but boy, I was a pretty smart one."
"The good and the bad, the ups and the downs, having people watch our every move like we're in a fishbowl," she continued. "We've made it! All While inspiring others and showing them what marriage truly is and what it could really be. My dream is that our kids have watched us through the years and are happy in their marriages. Thank you for always loving me."
