Dolores Catania & Melissa Gorga Reflect on RHONJ Season 14: "Embracing Closure"
The RHONJ castmates had emotional reactions to the post-finale "Off the Rails" special.
Now that The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 has officially wrapped, Dolores Catania and Melissa Gorga are reflecting on the unique season.
As fans may recall, Dolores was the only full-time cast member who was on good terms with all of the other cast members, while Melissa clashed with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, and her former close friend, Jackie Goldschneider. The rest of the group, which included Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, and Jennifer Fessler, remained divided as well.
Instead of getting together for a traditional reunion, the RHONJ cast instead split up and sat in two separate rooms at Rails Steakhouse to watch the Season 14 finale.
Ahead of the "Off the Rails" post-finale special, which aired on August 11, Dolores took to Instagram to share two images of her posing in the white dress she wore to Rails Steakhouse.
"Tonight’s RHONJ episode is about embracing closure to open new doors," Dolores wrote in the caption of her post.
Melissa also shared a series of photos (and a video!) of the flower-adorned pink minidress she wore to the post-finale sit-down. In the caption of her post, Melissa thanked her fans for supporting her as she has tried to keep things "classy" over the years.
"Hi Lovers. My Team Melissa Peeps[.] I do this show for many reasons but I need to take a minute before Season 14 is over and tell you all how much you all mean to me for the last 14 years," she wrote. "You are all so amazing and always kept me going."
"It's not always easy staying in my own lane, keeping it 'classy,'" she admitted. "Sometimes I want to lose my sh-t[.] Trust me! And I know I have at times."
"But I go into this as something I appreciate. Something that I believe could be inspiring through all the good times and the bad," Melissa concluded in her caption. "It's time to keep Jersey moving forward! I love you all very much. Melissa, xoxo."
Several of Melissa's Season 14 pals took to the comments section to show some love.
"Love you so much," Margaret wrote, while Danielle shared a heart hands emoji.
Dolores also shared a fire emoji, and a heart eyes emoji in a comment of her own.
