Mel B Showed Simon Cowell Just What Happens When You Throw Shade at Her
It all went down in front of the world on America's Got Talent.
Verbal shots fired! During Tuesday's America’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell attempted to throw some shade at former Spice Girl and fellow AGT judge, Mel B, which she didn't find very amusing. After one contestant's, Demian Aditya's, act landed with a very loud thud, Simon joked, "I kind of imagine this would be like Mel B's wedding night. A lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery."
Mel B, who is going through a rather contentious divorce from Stephen Belafonte, didn't find the comment humorous and, instead of laughing, threw water at him. Billboard further reports that she also didn't stick around for much longer and left the stage. "Mel B is out. This is live TV ya'll. This is live TV," host Tyra Banks told the crowd.
Following the memorable back-and-forth, Mel spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the incident. "He should know, if you say something inappropriate he's gonna get like, stuff thrown at him. In a friendly way," she said. "I made sure there was no ice in it this time… just fizzy water."
Mel reportedly did have one regret following the public spat, sharing, "I just [wish] I would have had cranberry juice in there or something, and then his whole body would be really sticky!"
