This Is How Jim Edmonds Is Helping with His Son’s Treatment for "Irreversible Brain Damage"
The RHOC alum's family is working together and "already seeing progress."
On the heels of Jim Edmonds' cheating scandal, Meghan King Edmonds and her husband are coming together after one of their sons, Hart, was diagnosed with "irreversible brain damage" caused by minor Periventricular Leukomalacia.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum previously shared that Hart was using a hyperbaric oxygen chamber with the goal of "awakening" his brain cells, loosening his tight leg muscles, and allow neuropathways to fire away.
She is now revealing that it's not just Hart and Meghan who have used the hyperbaric oxygen chamber: dad Jim has been taking turns with Hart in it as well. And it's already showing some impressive results: Meghan wrote on Instagram, "Four times a week either Jimmy or I 'dive' with Hart in a hyperbaric compressed oxygen chamber (HBOT). After 5 dives we are already seeing progress: lifting his left leg on stairs when his right is restrained, bear crawling (perhaps trying to stand?), more willingly taking steps with assistance, and cruising from the couch to the coffee table. Is it because of this alternative therapy, is it because he’s just getting older, is it because of PT, or is it because of his 3x/weekly chiropractor visits? Who knows, but it’s not hurting!"
Earlier in July, Meghan confirmed her son's diagnosis on her personal blog amid reports about husband Jim Edmonds' rumored affair. Right before sharing her son's health news, Jim admitted he "had a lapse in judgment" and had "engaged in an inappropriate conversation" with a woman via text message.
Meghan gave a recent update on the state of their marriage to DailyMail.com, saying, "We're still married, we're still together, we're not separated. I know my engagement ring is well known! I'm still wearing it. I've never stopped wearing it. We're in the family home, we're in the same bed. We're not having therapy, we're talking." She also stated her intentions for the future of their relationship: "In a marriage when there’s a fight or an indiscretion, nobody wins if they leave. If I left, I wouldn’t win. I don’t win by staying. The only way to win is to work through it. It’s not about right or wrong because everyone is hurt."
