Meghan King Edmonds' Husband Jim Edmonds Addresses Cheating Allegations
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's husband denies "any type of relationship or physical contact," but admits to "a lapse in judgment."
Meghan King Edmonds' husband, Jim Edmonds, is shutting down reports that he was unfaithful to his wife.
Jim addressed a recent report that alleged he had cheated on Meghan in March 2018 while she was pregnant with the couple's twin boys. “Regrettably, I had a lapse in judgment. I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person,” Jim said in a statement to Us Weekly. “At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none. This is someone trying to profit from my name. I am aware she has done this to others in the past.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's husband went on to show remorse for his family having to deal with this situation. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person. For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife,” his statement said. “I’m outraged over the intent to ruin my family and intend to take legal action. We were never having any problems in our marriage. My attorney is in possession of documents wherein this person has admitted fabricating large portions of her ‘story.’”
Jim also reiterated that he “never had any sort of a physical relationship outside of my marriage with her or anyone else.”
The former MLB player appeared on RHOC alongside his wife from Seasons 10 to 12. He and Meghan, who wed in 2014, have two children together, daughter Aspen, 2, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, who recently celebrated their first birthday on June 5.
The couple has been hard at work building a new home in St. Louis, which Meghan has kept fans up-to-date on through her Instagram profile, as well as sharing other news about her family.
Though Meghan has opened up in the past about the challenges of being away from Jimmy for long periods of time when he travels for work as a sports broadcaster, the two seem to have been spending a lot of time connecting as a couple recently with Pilates and hockey dates.
