Craig Conover
Though not an original Charleston native, Craig, 25, is no stranger to the beach, growing up on the shores of Delaware. Coming from an impressive bloodline of athletes, Craig’s dreams of collegiate baseball play were dashed when he had a career-ending elbow injury. He’s no one trick pony though, and transitioned nicely to Charleston School of Law after obtaining a degree in finance. Now as a clerk to a prominent law firm in the area, his time working hard—and playing hard. Yet he still finds time to help those less fortunate by representing abused or neglected children.

SouthernCharm-Cameran-Eubanks.jpg

Cameran Eubanks
A born-and-bred South Carolinian, Cameran recently turned 30 and is embarcing her new decade by turning to real estate after a ten-year stint in the cosmetic industry. This southern belle is fully embracing her life in Charleston and considers herself a modern woman who loves a day on the beach with a good book.

SouthernCharm-Thomas-Ravenel.jpg

Thomas Ravenel
After earning a couple of degrees and founding his own commercial real estate development company out of Atlanta, Thomas Ravenel, 48, made his way back to his hometown of Charleston in 1995. Almost ten years later he was elected to the office of State Treasurer, holding several high profile positions for the state of South Carolina with investments as high as $30 billion in funds. When Thomas isn’t active in national and state organizations or his church, you can find him playing polo, boating, and traveling.

SouthernCharm-Shep-Smith.jpg

Shepard "Shep" Rose
Though originally from Hilton Head Island, Shepard “Shep” Rose spent the majority of his adolescence and early adulthood living it up all over the South, from Virginia to Palm Beach Island and everywhere in between. During a stint in South Florida, he cut his teeth in the resort development business (and, as he says, "partied with some ridiculous and highly entertaining aristocrats"). Later, he attended business school in Nashville and then moved to Dubai. But when the financial crisis hit in 2008, he experienced a "tailspin" and moved back to Hilton Head. A longtime Grateful Dead fan, Shep says his professional ups-and-downs have left him "older, wiser, kinder, gentler and ready to tackle life's curve balls."

SouthernCharm-Whitney-Smith.jpg

Whitney Sudler-Smith
Over the last 17 years, Whitney has spent his time in Los Angeles, composing screenplays and independent films. Highlights from his resume include indie flicks Going for Baroque, Afternoon Delight and Bubba and Ike, a redneck buddy comedy that earned raves at the Austin Film Festival. Perhaps his biggest achievement: directing the documentary Ultrasuede, about the revered fashion designer Halston. During his free time, Whitney likes to read, play guitar...and maintain his dungeon.

SouthernCharm-Jenna-King.jpg

Jenna King
This 28-year-old is an up-and-comer in the fashion world: she's currently designing a line of gloves and hoping to expand into sunglasses. Though she grew up in Sumter, South Carolina, Jenna has lived all over the world: London, Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami. The daughter of a retired Air Force pilot (her dad) and animal rescue advocate (her mom), Jenna has a passion for creatures of all stripes—especially horses. Fun fact: she participated in rodeo barrel riding in high school.
