Meet Alexia Echevarrias' Mom Nancy
The RHOM star explains why she butts heads with her mother.
Real Housewives of Miami's Alexia Echevarria introduces her mom, Nancy, in a playful exclusive video on Bravotv.com. In it, Alexia admits that she and her mom have always butted heads. "I think we do that because we're very alike even though she wants to say that she's not like me."
True to form, Nancy refutes that, "We don't have the same personalities…I'm not as aggressive as you are," before going on to make fun of the fashion editor's wedge heel high-top sneakers.
"They look like orthopedic shoes," Nancy says. "They're special shoes for diabetics?"
All banter aside, in this season of RHOM, Alexia can often be seen turning to Nancy, who is a therapist, to get advice about her son Peter and her concerns that he is heading down the same criminal path as his father.
Only recently did Alexia reveal information about her ex-husband's past to her son and wrote on a confessional blog post, "I've never talked about it with him because I felt ashamed. I never found the right moment in our lives. Furthermore, I wanted to protect him from that pain. I always wanted him to get to know his father as the loving person that he is and not pass judgment on him for the mistakes he made."
