Conflict Recap: A Drama Breakdown of Married to Medicine Season 6

Toya Bush-Harris showed off the site of the new home she's building with her husband, Dr. Eugene Harris, during Sunday night's episode of Married to Medicine, and fans definitely weren't ready for it. Though fans showed Toya a lot of love for what is definitely going to be an amazing new abode when it's complete, she also received some criticism about the construction on social media.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Some fans tweeted at Toya wondering why she and Dr. Eugene seem to often move houses, and they expressed their opinion that the couple is being too extravagant with the new home that they're building, especially because of that two-story closet. But you know Toya isn't about to let the haters get her down. She shut them all down during the episode with the sassiest clapbacks we've seen all season. You can check out some choice tweets, below.

Toya said she was anticipating getting some heat for her new home, considering the fact that she and her husband have been open about their past struggles with debt on Married to Medicine, she told The Daily Dish in September prior to the airing of Sunday night's episode. "Everyone likes to comment on the Harrises and our budget, but we take donations. Whenever you want to comment, I might even put a little dropbox in the front where you can put your comment and your money," Toya joked. "And I'm OK with that, but just know that we learned so much from having gone through our situation with debt. That was, like, a huge hardship for us."

Toya and Dr. Eugene owed about $170,000 in back taxes to the IRS, which they worked hard to pay back in Seasons 4 and 5 of Married to Medicine. The couple celebrated paying off all of their debt with a party at the end of last season. "So now we're like, you know what, let's just really take it to a place where we're out of debt, let's stay out of debt, and let's build. Let's start building a foundation of wealth," Toya explained to The Daily Dish. "And it starts with a home for our children."

Now Toya and Dr. Eugene are taking the steps necessary to make sure they never get back into debt. "We were in the midst of paying off our taxes and stuff that we also were like, 'You know what? Let's set aside a cushion," she said. "Let's set aside a nice amount of savings so that when we build a home, we could put down a good amount whereas it's not a loan for $2 million, maybe it's a loan for $1.6 million, whatever the case, it's an amount where we can afford it, based on one income, so that we never have to look back and say, 'Oh, you do need to go out here and hustle or we need to grab two jobs' or whatever the case may be."
