Cecil Whitmore Says Mariah Huq "Dropped a Bomb" with Those Alleged Receipts on Dr. Heavenly Kimes' Husband

Dr. Simone Whitmore and her husband give their take on the latest Married to Medicine rumor.

Mariah Huq Accuses Dr. Heavenly Kimes' Husband of Cheating

Mariah Huq left the Married to Medicine ladies stunned when she shared that she had receipts alleging that Dr. Heavenly Kimes' husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, had been unfaithful (clip above). And when that information made its way to the guys in the group, you better believe they had to pick their jaws up off the floor, too.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Dr. Simone Whitmore's husband, Cecil Whitmore, shared that he was shocked to hear the rumor, which Dr. Heavenly has denied, when The Daily Dish caught up with him and his wife in New York City earlier this week. "It really caught me off-guard," he said. "She dropped a bomb in there when she made that comment because normally, the women argue, they go back-and-forth, but fortunately, the husbands are outside of the fray."

As someone who has more firsthand experience in dealing with Dr. Heavenly and Mariah's drama, Dr. Simone provided an explanation for why she feels Mariah brought up the rumor in the first place. "I felt that Mariah's back was against the wall dealing with Heavenly and Heavenly continuously saying, 'Yo mama,'" she told The Daily Dish. "And Mariah made a decision that she wasn't gonna put up with it anymore, and the only way to affect Heavenly is to touch upon that family. So to say something about Daddy or to say something about Alaura would truly strike her with Heavenly. And I feel that Mariah was like, 'This is it. I'm gonna strike a nerve.'"

Dr. Simone added that she thought Dr. Damon was "collateral damage" in Dr. Heavenly and Mariah's continued beef. However, she's not saying that Mariah doesn't actually have the receipts, either. "Unfortunately, I think that if Mariah is saying she has receipts, she probably does have something. It's the unfortunate thing," she said. "Hopefully, we [do not] have to see, deal with receipts, invoices, or anything like that. But I don't think she would've just pulled it out of thin air."

Cecil also said that even if Mariah does have receipts, they may not necessarily prove anything. "Not all receipts are created equal. So just because you have a receipt doesn't mean that I'm gonna be like, 'Oh, yeah, you can take this back to the store.' Some receipts are kind of suspect," he explained. "I think she has to bring a receipt now because she stated that she has receipts, invoices, and multiple times she is committing to having a receipt."

Mariah maintained during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month that she does, in fact, have receipts that are "available under lock and key" with no plans to ever release them. Check out Toya Bush-Harris' take on the situation on WWHL, below.
