Madison LeCroy's Husband Brett Randle Shares a Health Update Following Cancer Diagnosis
Madison LeCroy's husband, Brett Randle, shared new information about his ongoing health issues.
Madison LeCroy and Brett Randle are sharing an update on Brett's thyroid cancer diagnosis and ongoing health complications.
During Season 10, Episode 4 of Southern Charm, the married couple had a chance to catch up while out golfing with Madison's son, Hudson.
"How are you feeling? You haven’t really told me anything,” Madison told Brett while Hudson went off to practice his swing.
“I’m feeling alright," Brett said, to which Madison responded, “Does it still hurt when you swallow?”
Brett shared, “It doesn’t necessarily hurt, I just have to think about it to swallow. They had to adjust the medication. I’ll try that for a couple of months and then get tested and see if that’s where it should be. And they did a scan of a spot on my kidney ... "
This was news to Madison, who asked Brett what exactly he meant.
“They had to biopsy that and see what it is," he explained
She asked, “Are they thinking that it’s cancerous?” and Brett said, “They don’t know."
Madison LeCroy opens up about struggling amid Brett Randle's health issues
In a confessional, Madison explained how difficult the situation had been for her family.
“Like, if I hear the word ‘cancer’ one more time I’m going to lose my mind. I just kind of thought we were in the clear," she said.
According to Brett, his doctor said that there was a good chance the spot could be nothing. But because his last few blood tests were a little off, they were concerned and wanted to check it out.
“It’s fine,” he added, kissing his wife on the cheek to reassure her.
Naturally, Madison questioned why Brett didn't share his health news right away.
“I didn’t want to worry you. If it comes back as nothing, then there’s nothing to tell," he said.
Though she argued that it's important he's able to tell her things like this, Brett brought up his struggles with communication.
“I know, I just … you know I don’t talk about things. It’s just how I’ve always been," Brett explained. "Even in my family or whatever, I don’t say much and I don’t want to burden other people,"
Knowing that Brett came from a family of eight siblings and learned to deal with things at his own pace, Madison understood — but made him promise there wouldn't be any more "secrets."
“I wasn’t keeping it a secret," he stated.
“Yeah, you probably would’ve went and had the surgery and not told me. Was that your plan?" she asked, half joking. "You thought about it.”
However, he responded, “I wasn’t going to tell you 'til I had to tell you."
When was Brett Randle diagnosed with thyroid cancer?
Madison revealed on Season 10, Episode 2 that Brett had been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer "toward the end of last year, around our one year wedding anniversary." (The couple married in November 2022).
"I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy,” she said as tears formed in her eyes during a confessional. “I mean, it’s just scary.”
