Madison LeCroy Breaks Down Over Brett Randle’s Health News: “Worst Year of My Life”
Madison LeCroy opened up about her husband's cancer diagnosis during Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 5.
After Madison LeCroy revealed early on in Season 10 of Southern Charm that her husband, Brett Randle, had been diagnosed with cancer, she's now offering an update on both his journey and how she's dealing with it.
While sitting on her porch during the January 9 episode, Madison called up her mom to talk about Brett's health and get a little comfort.
"So, he did some blood work and it didn't come back normal. And they found a tumor on his kidney," she said as tears began to fall. "We don't know what it is, but it's still ... I didn't start crying or anything. But if I lost him I would die. I just kind of, I don't know. I don't know what to do."
Her mom was quick to offer advice. "All you can do is comfort him and love him and just keep telling him that you're right here by his side," she said, adding that she wishes she'd done more for Madison's dad, who passed away last winter after his own battle with cancer.
In a confessional, Madison shared some insight into how hard things have been for her.
"This is definitely the worst year of my life," she said. "For sure. 'Cause my dad was diagnosed with cancer, too, but he didn't last. This is life, I guess. I just f--king hate it. I f--king hate it."
When was Brett Randle diagnosed with cancer?
Madison shared in Episode 2 that Brett had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer "toward the end" of 2023.
"I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy,” she said as tears formed in her eyes during a confessional. “I mean, it’s just scary.”
Details on Brett Randle's previous health updates
Brett gave Madison an update on his health during Episode 4.
“It doesn’t necessarily hurt, I just have to think about it to swallow," he explained. "They had to adjust the medication. I’ll try that for a couple of months and then get tested and see if that’s where it should be. And they did a scan of a spot on my kidney ... They had to biopsy that and see what it is."
Though his doctor said that there was a good chance the spot could be nothing, they were concerned due to some abnormal blood tests and wanted to check it out.
How is Brett Randle doing today after his cancer diagnosis?
In a January 2 Instagram Story, Madison shared that Brett is "doing so well!"
"We're beyond thankful for him," she continued. "And thrilled to see him getting better every day."
