Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley Unpack the "Huge Risk" of Their Relationship: "Worth It"
Southern Hospitality couple Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley break down exactly how their relationship started — and what's at stake.
It's finally happened! Southern Hospitality's ultimate "will they or won't they" duo, Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese, are together at long last.
“Yes, I’m dating Joe Bradley,” Maddi revealed while hanging out with Grace Lilly during Season 3, Episode 1, which premiered on January 2. To further drive the point home, fans were treated to a clip of them snuggling and kissing in bed.
But even though things look peachy for the duo, there were some bumps in getting to where they are today.
“I feel like I’ve always liked Joe. It’s just, we work so well together and we’re best friends, so to make it romantic was just a huge risk," Maddi shared in a confessional. "But at the same time, I know this man’s [been] in love with me for years."
As fans might remember, Joe revealed his feelings to Maddi two years prior, during Season 1 of the series. Obviously, his ideas about her never faded, and now the couple seems to be thriving.
"So, it was a risk that totally has been worth it," Maddi concluded.
According to Grace, Maddi and Joe have been "all over each other" since getting together.
"Just totally sucking each other’s faces down. Like slurpies," she told her bestie, who giggled.
Joe Bradley reveals how he and Maddi Reese started dating
Later in the episode, Joe and Maddi joined Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp for a game of pickleball and fans got to see what the duo was like as a couple out in the world.
“Dreams really do come true. Maddi Reese finally agreed to love me back. The only thing I could do was wait it out and be patient, and in New York she was finally like, ‘Come here motherf-cker,' grabbed me and kissed me right on the mouth," Joe explained in a confessional. "Since that moment, we’ve been inseparable, and I’ve never been happier in my life.”

During Season 1 of Southern Hospitality, fans got to know Maddi and Joe as close friends who worked extremely well together at Republic. Though Joe revealed that there had once been a “glimmer of something” between the two of them, he'd “never told” Maddi that he was interested in her.
In her own interviews, Maddi shared that Joe had “never made a move" — a problem, because it would be “easy and convenient and nice to be in a relationship” with him.
Though they both dated other people for a while, they obviously found their way back to each other.
Are Maddi Reese and Trevor Stokes still together?
No, Maddi and her ex-boyfriend Trevor Stokes are no longer together and she is now in a committed relationship with Joe. During the Season 3 premiere of Southern Hospitality, Maddi detailed the end of her relationship with Trevor, explaining, "I finally was like, 'I'm getting out' and that lightbulb clicked. And I got the f--k out and I closed the door and I never went back."
During the episode, Maddi went on to explain how her new relationship with Joe differs from her past one with Trevor.
"With my ex, I constantly felt like what is he doing? Where is he? I was always so anxious," she said, adding in a confessional, "I was more into Trevor than he probably was into me. It's nice being in a relationship where it maybe right now is like the opposite. I feel safe, secure, everything I need right now."
