Luis D. Ortiz Returns to Instagram to Share an Adorable Photo of His Daughter and More Details About Her Birth
The MDLNY dad is opening up about fatherhood like never before.
March 8 is a date that now holds new meaning for Luis D. Ortiz. That's the day he welcomed his daughter, Leela Daniel Singh-Ortiz, into the world (more on that in the MDLNY clip above). And the Million Dollar Listing New York agent shared an artistic photo of the little girl to his Instagram, marking his return to social media.
"This is my daughter Leela Daniel Singh-Ortiz. She was born on March 8, 2019 in New York City and ever since then, everything has become incredibly purposeful," he captioned the photo, which has also gotten love from his fellow MDLNY agents.
"I love her - and you," Fredrik Eklund commented, with Steve Gold leaving heart emojis in the comments section of the photo to show his support.
Luis also created an emotional video documenting his journey to first-time fatherhood, in which he praised the baby's mom and his co-parent, Nikita.
“It’s an incredible feeling. Remember when I told you I wasn’t ready for any of this? … I realize it doesn’t matter how prepared you are to being a father, you are never ready until the moment is there. And that in a way, is very poetic and very beautiful," he said in the video. “I just know one thing: I am going to love this baby like there is no tomorrow and I am going to be in this baby’s life and going to be a source of support and enhancement for this baby,” he added. “That’s all I know and that’s all that’s needed. I will adapt day by day, one day at a time, to whatever’s necessary, whatever’s required, and whatever I need to be there for.”
He noted that Nikita "wanted to do this completely natural. She wanted to prove to herself that she was able to do this on her own... I was there, next to her, holding her hand, telling her — reminding her to breathe — and I took every breath with her."
And it sounds like he's ready for what's next: “It felt like life was just getting started. And this is what everybody always told me I was going to go through and I was going to experience. You can understand as to why, but it’s not until I went through it that I realized that life just begun.”
