Luann de Lesseps is addressing reports she will return to jail after she appeared in court in Palm Beach on Thursday (May 23) and was briefly taken into custody for alleged probation violations. “These reports are false,” she said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I’m glad the judge was understanding once made aware of the evidence provided and I was then released. I am now looking forward to completing my remaining few months of probation. I want to put this behind me and move forward with my life.”

Her court appearance comes weeks after reports surfaced that The Real Housewives of New York City cabaret singer admitted to having had two mimosas after a performance in Chicago, according to TMZ and Us Weekly.

She later opened up about her sobriety in a statement to PEOPLE following the news: “I take my sobriety very seriously and like many in my situation, it is a daily struggle. I remain committed to doing whatever it takes to continue living a healthy sober lifestyle.”

In December 2017, Luann was arrested and later charged with resisting an officer with violence, in addition to trespassing and disorderly intoxication. She has since completed two stays in treatment. On the current season of RHONY, Luann has detailed her life these days and how sobriety is an everyday process. Previously it was reported that her parole was expected to end in late August, one year after she accepted a plea deal in her case.
