Luann de Lesseps Has Been Spending Some Time in Jail — and You'll Never Believe Why

When it came time for Luann de Lesseps' close-up in the flick Mother of All Secrets, The Real Housewives of New York City performer found herself back in jail for the role. In a clip she shared on Instagram from the film, Luann plays a concerned mom visiting her son, who has been arrested after finding himself in some hot water. Luann did such an incredible job, she even earned a best supporting actress nomination at the Golden Door International Film Festival. The movie marked Luann's first-ever feature film.

Luann shot the film in Bermuda in February 2017. And since then, it's made quite a splash, even garnering a triple F-rating by the Bath Film Festival for employing a large number of women on the cast and crew. In fact, Luann's co-star, Days of Our Lives actress Kate Mansi, previously shared this about the experience, “I spent a month in Bermuda with a fake baby bump and some pretty incredible people making this movie. I’m most proud that it was the largest female cast & crew I’ve ever worked with so far.”

The cast also includes Kelly McGillis, Brooke Burfitt, and Sean Stolzen as Luann's onscreen son.

In addition to her work on Mother of All Secrets, Luann has more shows coming for her #CountessandFriends cabaret, with dates lined up for through the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019.

She also celebrated another milestone this week as she clocked 90 days sober. "Today marks a personal milestone for me, I am 90 days sober & am so grateful for my family & friends unconditional support & love through this past year. Thank you @recoverytodaymag for your support & I am looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead living my healthiest, best life with the people that I truly care about," she wrote on Instagram.
