The Speculation Around Luann D'Agostino's Marriage Is "Dangerous," According to Dorinda Medley
The #RHONY mom is shutting down the rumors surrounding the newlyweds.
Forget the hype. Dorinda Medley is here to tell you that the rumblings about Luann D'Agostino and Tom D'Agostino having an open relationship are nothing but gossip as far as she's concerned.
"People should not speculate about other people's lives and things because it's dangerous. You don't know what the circumstances are," The Real Housewives of New York City pal told The Daily Dish. "You don't know what the timing is. All these allegations about an open marriage with the Count, I don't know, but the point is that's done. And remember they had a very long marriage, so whatever happens at the end of a failed marriage it sometimes goes wonky and people do things they shouldn't do before they get out for good. I don't know. I didn't know her back then. But the answer is no [with Tom]. I see zero signs of that. I don't believe it and I don't think Luann would put up with it for a second. And Tom loves her. What would be the upside of that?"
Tom did find himself in some hot water last season after it was discovered he had kissed another woman shortly after becoming engaged to Luann. He was spotted at The Regency with this other person, and Bethenny Frankel later found out about it and broke the news to Luann. "Listen, Tom also knows the ramifications of bad behavior," Dorinda noted. "The spotlight's on him. He's not gonna get married and go through all this to destroy his life."
Dorinda was the only current RHONY pal at the couple's New Year's Eve wedding in Palm Beach. And since they said "I do," she's seen Luann settle nicely into life as Mrs. D'Agostino. At the end of the day, Dorinda gets why the couple works."She did a traditional, very traditional wedding. And she's just happy," she said. "She's enjoying it. She loves her lifestyle down in Palm Beach. She's mainly in Palm Beach right now. I think they come up here [and] they kind of do half and half. They're both very active. They're very similar they like to be out all the time shes got a playmate now."
The RHONY pal noted how easily Luann transitioned to her new life as Tom's wife. "Lu doesn't like to be alone," she said. "She likes to be partnered. She likes that whole lifestyle. She took on Mrs. D'Agostino very quickly. There's no more Countess. I think the credit cards are changed and everything," she joked.
