Lisa Vanderpump Reveals What It Would Take to Reconcile with Kyle Richards
The Vanderpump Rules boss also weighed in on the rift between Kyle and RHOBH's Dorit Kemsley.
Lisa Vanderpump maintains that Kyle Richards was a “terrible friend” to her, but she’s not opposed to mending fences.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revisited the drama in an episode of Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, filmed at her newly opened Las Vegas restaurant, Pinky’s by Vanderpump. About halfway through the sitdown, Lisa was asked about her and Kyle’s recent run-in, which the latter described as “interesting” yet “friendly.” The Vanderpump Rules boss agreed that the encounter was pretty cordial but insisted she and Kyle were far from friends.

“I think when you talk about the opposite of love and they say that it’s hate, and it’s not. It’s kind of indifference,” Lisa explained. “I’m just like, ‘Hey, hi, how are you?’ … It needs to start with an apology to ever reconcile because you can’t ever pick up a friendship when somebody’s calling you a liar. That doesn’t work for me, at all.”
Lisa and Kyle fell out in RHOBH Season 9 (2018), which also marked Lisa’s Housewives exit. The feud culminated when Kyle accused Lisa of leaking a negative story about their castmate Dorit Kemsley — an allegation Lisa consistently denied.

Fast-forward to RHOBH Season 14 (2024), which found Kyle and Dorit at odds as they navigated their respective marital splits. So, was Lisa surprised by the rift? Not at all.
“It always kind of goes full circle, doesn’t it?” she said in the interview. “Kyle was a terrible friend to me.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lisa addressed Dorit’s ongoing separation from her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, whom Lisa met many years ago back in London. She expressed sympathy for the estranged couple but said the split didn’t exactly shock her.
“I think it’s been a slow demise for quite a long time,” Lisa said. “We do have mutual friends, so I’d heard rumors. But again, you hope for the best really for them with two young little ones. But PK and I definitely have mutual friends so I know what’s going on and I wish him very well.”

Dorit addressed her relationship with Lisa on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show when a fan asked if her beef with Kyle “left any room for” a reconciliation with Lisa.
“Sorry. Let me just try not to choke on my vodka soda, three lemons,” Dorit joked in the November 19 broadcast. “There’s always room for any kind of reconciliation for me in my life, Lisa being probably the exception to the rule… She still kind of enjoys having a little bit of a dig whenever she can. And I’m so over Lisa Vanderpump.”
