Lisa Rinna Rocks 'Dancing With the Stars'
Look back at the 'RHOBH' star cutting the rug on the hit show.
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos and videos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to Lisa Rinna’s stint on Dancing with the Stars.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans recently learned that Lisa Rinna knows how to throw a wine glass. Turns out, she also knows how to throw down on the dance floor. She competed on Season 2 of Dancing with the Stars with professional dancing partner, Louis van Amstel.
In this 2007 clip, Lisa shows off her pipes and her dance moves performing “Roxie” from Chicago.
Lisa’s brilliant turn as Roxie Hart did not go unnoticed. In February 2009, she starred in the Broadway production of Chicago portraying the same role, alongside her husband, Harry Hamlin, who played the role of Billy Flynn.
But her DWTS gig did not stop at Chicago. Watch Lisa and Louis’ racy rendition of the Rumba.
“It's sensual, it's sexual. You know, it's almost like you’re having sex on the dance floor,” Lisa quipped about the Rumba performance.
After a decent run, Lisa was eliminated in round seven based on audience voting, despite having higher marks from the judges than fellow celebrity dancer and football legend, Jerry Rice. Regardless, the whole experience still proved extremely fruitful for Lisa. She has said that her book, Rinnavation: Getting Your Best Life Ever, was partially inspired by the incredible physical shape she was in after the show.
