Lisa Rinna on #RHOBH: "It Gave Me My Voice"
The Beverly Hills rookie opens up about her first season and what she learned from joining the franchise.
Lisa Rinna certainly wasn't sitting by the sidelines when she joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 5. She got right in the mix during her rookie year, which led to some memorable moments. And despite some initial worries from husband Harry Hamlin, Lisa wanted to get in on the fun and the drama. "I'm an entrepreneur at heart and to make all my other businesses run and do everything I want to do, I have to be on TV. In this day and age, I've got to be," she said during OWN's Oprah: Where Are They Now? episode. "I knew the girls on the show, and that's one of the reasons I felt comfortable."
Of course, Lisa didn't shy away from the drama — her dinner party confrontation with Kim Richards in Amsterdam earned her the Real Housewives Award for OMG Moment. And it was that first season that changed everything for the soap star. "I learned so much doing Real Housewives, because it gave me my voice and that voice has always been there," she said. "It's been inside of me, but it gave me the permission to just let it really fly."
In case you want to watch it again, here's the award-winning moment.
