Lisa Hochstein's Marriage to Lenny: From Love at First Sight to Bitter Divorce
When did Lisa and Lenny Hochstein break up?
During a March 2022 interview with Us Weekly, Lisa was actually feeling optimistic about her marriage and noted she didn't want divorce to "be an option."
Just two months later in May, however, Lenny revealed to Page Six the couple were calling it quits.
“Lisa and I are getting divorced,” he told the outlet. “A few weeks ago, I denied this because, because I am trying my best to protect my family during this process. This is a very difficult time, and I would ask for some privacy so that we can best take care of our children who mean the world to us.”
Lenny later confirmed he was dating Austrian model Katharina Mazepa, but insisted “none of this happened until after the decision was made to get divorced.” Lenny and Katharina got engaged in the summer of 2023, but called it quits about 14 months later.
On May 23, 2022, the plastic surgeon formally filed for divorce from Lisa, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In a statement to The Daily Dish, Lisa revealed how "blindsided" she was by the situation and said her focus would be on her children moving forward.
“With two young children involved, as a mom I’m going to focus all of my energy and time on them,” she said. “I’m blindsided by his behavior and reckless handling of the situation.”
Lisa Hochstein Opens Up About Co-Parenting Challenges with Lenny
Speaking of Lisa and Lenny's two children, son Logan and daughter Elle, during a December 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Lisa admitted her children had picked up on the changes at home.
“I’m trying my best to just make this transition for them [as] easy as possible. But they’re smart, and they see that things are different,” Lisa later told The Daily Dish. “Look, I’m not the first person to get divorced, [and] I’m not going to be the last. It’s very sad, but we’ll get through it. A lot of kids go through it, and they come out fine.”
According to Lisa, it had been a challenge to find common ground with her ex.
“The biggest challenge, I feel like, is going to be co-parenting, because we’re not in a good space right now,” she said. “My hope is, eventually, we’ll get to that space where we can, I don’t know, even one day be friends. But it’s so ugly right now. It’s just not good.”
