Lisa Edelstein's Shining Television Moments
From 'Seinfeld' to 'House, M.D.,' the 'Girlfriends' Guide' star’s TV pedigree runs the gamut.
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos and videos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to some of Lisa Edelstein’s illustrious TV roles.
Prior to GG2D, many television connoisseurs would probably first associate Lisa Edelstein with her starring role as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on House M.D. From 2004-2011, she played title character Gregory House’s oft friend, adversary, and eventual girlfriend. She even took home a People’s Choice Award for the role in 2011. Watch her acceptance speech:
House aside, Lisa’s graced our boob tubes with appearances on everything from Scandal and The Good Wife, to cult hits like The West Wing and Ally McBeal. Perhaps one of the most impressive notions about Lisa’s acting career is her range. From hero to villain and comedy to drama, Lisa’s diverse acting chops deliver.
Watch Lisa’s character Rachel McCord and Stana Katic’s character Kate Beckett as special agents in action during season six of Castle:
But, as in many crime dramas, things aren’t always what they seem.
In perfect juxtaposition with Castle, who could forget Lisa’s turn as George Costanza’s seemingly sexually frustrated girlfriend, Karen, also know as “Risotto Girl,” on Seinfeld.
Fun Fact: Lisa’s character, Karen, is the only girlfriend of George’s to appear in multiple episodes of Seinfeld other than Susan Ross, played by Heidi Swedberg.
