Lisa Barlow Just Made a Major Decision About Her Next Home: "We Want More"
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member unpacked her next real estate move on the premiere of Sold on SLC.
Lisa Barlow is building a new home, and on the Season 1 premiere of Sold on SLC, viewers got to see her make the major real estate decision.
During the December 4 episode, Lisa met with her realtor, Sold on SLC cast member Sarah Martindale, at a home listed for $3,699,000.
"Lisa, she's not sure between buying a home or building a house," Sarah explained in an episode interview. "Honestly, this is a huge opportunity for me because we're talking about a lot of money."
Although Lisa noted the five-bedroom home was "beautiful," she had some complaints, including the "small" closet and "low" ceilings.
"You know, things that are really important to me is like, we have to be able to have a pool, we have to have a great driveway ... dry sauna, we have to have a guest house," Lisa told Sarah, who works for Presidio brokerage. "We have to have a salon in our house, a spray tan station because I get sprayed a lot, red light therapy, a little mailroom where my packages can come in with a computer. Those kind of things are so important to me."
Taking all of that into account, Sarah advised Lisa, "Build."
"We're not even going to continue looking," she continued. "There's nothing like that out there."
Lisa agreed, saying, "I just think we want more. Once you see more, you want more."

During the December 4 episode, Sarah shared how she met The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member: "My past client referred me to Lisa and we literally connected right away."

After deciding she would build rather than buy, Lisa's new dream home is now underway.
"We're building a home. Our house right now is cold modern, and the new house we're doing is very clean lines, 90-degree angles only," she told Britani Bateman in the RHOSLC After Show clip above. "Nothing can be, like, rounded. I don't want arches. Very, very warm. John [Barlow] wants concrete floors, so I think that will be the coldest part of the house."
"I've asked our architect to do a 2,000-square-foot closet for me, so I have a room behind my closet where I can put all my fur coats and everything," Lisa added. "And I just think the kitchen is going to be a place where everyone wants to hang out."
