Lindsay Hubbard Details How "Extremely Difficult" It Was to Keep Pregnancy a Secret
The pregnant Summer House cast member also shed more details on her baby news.
Turns out that Lindsay Hubbard isn't just keeping her boyfriend's identity a mystery, but before she confirmed her pregnancy on July 4, the pregnant Summer House cast member was also trying to keep the news that she's expecting her first child a secret as well.
In an Instagram post she shared on Friday, July 5, Lindsay revealed how "extremely difficult" it was to not reveal her happy news before now.
"I woke up this morning feeling so blessed and grateful for this journey. But most of all, I’m relieved and excited to finally be able to celebrate openly, and with the world. It has been extremely difficult to hide my excitement in secrecy, and now that I’m able to share my happiness and joy, I feel like a weight has been lifted (even though I’m actually gaining weight by the day lol)!" she wrote. "Our little cub is already so so loved!"
In the wake of the announcement, her Instagram has been flooded with congratulatory messages and you can bet she's feeling the warm glow of all that (baby) love. She added, "Thank you for all of the sweet comments, love, and support! We are truly over the moon right now!"
Lindsay also spoke about the pregnancy in an interview with PEOPLE, "The journey is really just crazy. All of a sudden, for a girl who's always wanted to be a mom, there I was at 37 years old, staring down the barrel of being single and questioning when dreams of having a family would happen. And then this incredible man comes back into my life and next thing you know, I'm pregnant. It's like the universe was saying, 'See? This is the time. This it the guy. Now you're ready.' I feel like my prayers were answered."

In her July 4th announcement post, Lindsay teased that she's expecting her first child by the upcoming holiday season. "Trigger Warning: This post contains more fireworks than the 4th of July! WE’RE PREGNANT!!!!! I truly believe the universe has a bigger plan and this is it!" she wrote about her pregnancy. "My boyfriend and I are beyond excited to welcome our little #HubbCub this Holiday season 2024!!"

Lindsay has yet to share the name of the man in her life, but she has dropped hints about him. Previously, Lindsay described her boyfriend as "incredible" and "so sweet" on the Summer House Season 8 reunion. At that time, she also said that their relationship is tracking "in a pretty serious direction" when speaking to BravoTV.com

In an interview with Bitch Bible podcast, she added that her mystery man is someone she's dated previously: "I actually met him and went out with him three-and-a-half years ago. Some of my friends call it a boomerang, where you go out the first time, the timing wasn't right, and they come back around. So, that's basically what happened."
They later reconnected in December 2023 and she explained, "So, I reached back out in January, and I was like, 'Alright, coffee.' And then we got lunch, and I feel like that lunch was catching up on the last three years of our lives, as opposed to [anything else]."
As for why she's keeping her boyfriend's identity to herself, she revealed being so open about her relationships in the past, including with ex, Carl Radke, made her feel more cautious this time around.
"I've also learned from my past mistakes in being too public with every step of my relationships," she told E! News. "And after my last relationship ended in such a humiliating and very public way, I'm not exactly dying to open my current relationship up to the world just yet. He's never seen Summer House and probably never will, and I love that about him. It's an even playing field with us."
