Laura Linney Teases a Special Surprise for the American Version of the Love Actually Reunion
Would the actress be down for a real sequel to the beloved flick?
Frankly, May 25 can't come soon enough. That's the day that us Americans will get the chance to see the highly-anticipated Love Actually reunion for ourselves during the U.S. version of Red Nose Day. And according to Laura Linney, while she hasn't heard anything about a more formal sequel to the beloved 2003 flick, she does promise that when the reunion finally airs on NBC later this month, residents on this side of the pond will have a special version to check out.
"I'm not sure about an actual sequal, although that would be fun. There is this compilation [during which] they're re-checking in with all the characters from Love Actually and there's a British version that's already aired over there and then the American version actually includes the American," she teased on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday about the sequence shot for the charity event. "So my little storyline will be updated. You'll see where Sarah is now."
Fans were offered a small glimpse of what's to come in a trailer released earlier this month (below). Oh and, by the way, according to a report about the version that's already aired in the U.K., Hugh Grant will revive his dancing scene from the first flick — this time to Drake's "Hotline Bling." (Fingers crossed it stays for the May 25th version.) Take that, Matt Bomer.
