Lala Kent Shows the Start of Her Major Home Renovation: “Bedroom of My Dreams” (PICS)
The Vanderpump Rules mom is updating her house with significant changes.
Lala Kent's bedroom is getting a serious upgrade.
The Vanderpump Rules mom first teased the home changes on November 27 as she prepped for her family's Thanksgiving getaway in Hawaii. More recently, she shared a video taken by her interior designer, Megan Catalina, who documented the process.
"It's construction day!" Catalina exclaimed in the video as she walked through Lala's bedroom, which had been completely cleared out to make room for renovations. The designer first noted how the construction company "protected" the other areas of the home and around the bedroom for the changes about to take place. She then revealed Lala will soon "say goodbye" to one of the windows in her bedroom and add a new window to the other side.
Before her interior designer shared the above video, Lala teased her forthcoming renovation in her own Instagram Stories, revealing the details of the renovation plan.
“So, this window that looks directly into my neighbor’s house — so not cool — [we’re] covering it up, adding a window here, OK?” she explained in the video, also revealing her plans to upgrade her window treatments with "fabulous" automated blackout shades. The mom of two also confirmed she was getting new furniture pieces.
“A new bed is coming today. I got these gorgeous nightstands,” she added. “These chairs were my grandmother’s but I don’t know that they’re gonna go with the decor of the room, so I’m not quite sure. A new chandelier is being dropped in. I can’t wait to show you guys the after!”
The Utah native continued with a few more thoughts about why she has a "personal vendetta" against that window next to her bed.
“Last thing that needs to be celebrated before I sign off, once this window goes away, I get to center my bed,” she stated before showing off her old nightstand. “What is this? This is the smallest nightstand on the planet, and it had to be right near the wall because of this freakin’ window. I have a personal vendetta against this window.”
Lala Kent's Post-Baby Home Changes
In addition to making changes to her bedroom, Lala has also made a few updates since the arrival of her second child, Sosa.
The Give Them Lala author revealed in a recent Instagram Story video that she keeps Sosa's bassinet in her primary bathroom in order to keep an eye on the little one.
"Yes, it's in my bathroom, because when I shower, I like to see my newborn," Lala explained.
