Lala Kent Gives Birth to Baby Number 2: "Welcome Into the World"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is officially a mom of two after she welcomed her second daughter.
Congratulations are in order for Lala Kent! The Vanderpump Rules cast member announced on September 4 that she gave birth to her second child, a girl.
"Welcome into the world, my love," Lala wrote in an Instagram Story before confirming that her daughter was born a day earlier, on September 3.
She is already a proud mom to daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, who turned 3 back in March 2024. In fact, that same month she confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing that there would be a "new addition to my little family," adding, "I’m expanding my pod."
Inside Lala Kent's journey to have a second child
The baby's arrival comes on the heels of VPR Season 11, which documented Lala's journey to getting pregnant on her own. Although she admitted it would be hard, she was excited for all that was to come in the future — especially since she would be giving her daughter, Ocean, a little sibling.
Lala had been very open with sharing all of the details in her journey to getting pregnant with her second child. The Give Them Lala podcast host had decided to use Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) to conceive baby number two, which meant she had to decide what sperm donor was best for her.
Lala put together a profile of several donors and had her friends and family members help her choose the donor for her at a party at Lisa Vanderpump's house during Season 11.
"This is not how I pictured my life," Lala explained during VPR Season 11 Episode 12. "I'm just beyond grateful that this is an option. If there's one thing that I feel like I'm good at in my life, [it's] that I'm a good mama."
Who is Lala Kent's sperm donor for baby No. 2?
Lala ended up choosing a 6 foot 2 inch man with a "lean, athletic build" and was described as "kind, polite, and friendly, [with] a gentle demeanor." During the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Lala further explained that she was drawn to her donor's profile because of his relationship with his dad.
"It just like, hit me," she explained during the episode. "It just felt right...I didn't want this baby to face anything more than [what] they're already gonna have to face."
Lala Kent's Comments on "Expanding Her Pod" Amid Pregnancy
Luckily, this baby will have her older sister, Ocean, to look up to and rely on throughout her life. Lala opened up about Ocean's role in expanding her family during a March 5 Amazon Live stream.
"I never expected to be raising not one but two children in the type of household that I'm in," she explained. "I always say that I'm raising my daughter Ocean [with my mom], and I'll be raising this new baby with my mom...I have a pod around me. I say we're like a pod of Orcas. No one leaves the pod; we just keep adding to it. And it may not look normal to most people, but Ocean and this child are going to be surrounded by so much love."
