Lala Kent's baby's name has finally been revealed. The Vanderpump Rules cast member took to Instagram on September 9, where she shared the big news: the name of her second daughter is Sosa Kent. She also shared the first image of her baby's little feet.
Sosa joins Lala's three-year-old daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, who she has from a previous relationship. It's safe to say that Lala, who was born Lauryn Kent Burningham, has a flare for unique and she's keeping that tradition alive with both her kids.
Why did Lala Kent wait to announce her baby's name, Sosa Kent?
Lala gave birth to Sosa on Tuesday, September 3 — just one day after her own birthday. She announced the arrival of her second baby girl on her Instagram Story a day later on September 4. But, there was a reason why she didn't reveal the name at that time.
During a September 4 episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala, she explained why she wouldn't be announcing the name on the fourth. "Today is Beyoncé's birthday, it's her day," she said. "I need to make sure that we can't announce today...No one's gonna give a s—t. It's Beyoncé's birthday."
"I'm going to wait...Baby S deserves her moment," Lala concluded.
Lala Kent Reveals Names She Was Considering For Baby Number 2
Although Lala has decided on the perfect name for her second child, it took a long time for her to decide on it. Throughout her pregnancy, Lala referred to her baby by the letter of her first name — "Baby S."
During a question and answer session on her Instagram Story in March 2024, Lala shared some of the names that she had been considering: Snow, Mighty, and Lion. However, her other options were blacked out since she keeps her cards very close to her chest.
During an appearance on The Talk that same month, Lala revealed that Ocean was pulling for a very specific name. "She likes the name Donna, and of course, I'm like, who's Donna? It's this beautiful woman who lived in our apartment complex," she explained. "But if it's a boy, you guys, I could name it The Don. What a full circle moment from last season."

Lala also reacted to personalized name predictions from one TikTok user in a video posted to the platform in late March. The user suggested the following names for baby number two: Lovey, Earth, Delta, Free Willy, Luna, Shawn II, Keiko, and Blue. But, none of the names really hit the mark for Lala.
"Keiko is super cute," she said. "Blue was on the list though. It didn't make the cut."
