Kyle Richards "Can't Believe" Portia Umansky's Latest Milestone Moment
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is getting sentimental about her youngest daughter growing up.
Portia Umansky is still growing up! Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's youngest daughter, who has been on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since Season 1, is their last remaining daughter in high school, and Kyle is slightly in her feels about this.
Now that Portia is 16 years old, she has her own driver's license, her own car, and her own idea of what she wants to do in the future. This has made Kyle just a little emotional. The mom of four took to her Instagram Story earlier this week where she posted the sweetest throwback photo of Portia, taken when she was much younger, displaying just how much she has grown over the past few years.
In the photo, Portia can be seen wearing a fabulous leopard, faux-fur coat, sitting in the driver's side of a battery-operated car in the middle of the road, smiling over her shoulder at her mom. "I can't believe this little one drives a real car now," Kyle wrote in the caption of the photo, alongside a crying face emoji and a pink heart emoji. "I love you so much boo-boo."
Kids really do grow up so fast.
Kyle Richards says her "job is over" now that Portia Umansky can drive
This is not the first time that Kyle has gotten emotional over Portia being able to drive. During an Amazon Live stream in August, Kyle revealed that this would be her first year where she wouldn't be driving one of her kids to school because Portia would be driving herself in her black Porsche SUV, which she got in June. "My job is over guys," she explained. "This is very depressing. It is very depressing."
"I mean I've been a mom for a million years and I've been having to get up and take a child to school for as far as I can remember, all my adult life, and now I don't have to drive her to school anymore," she explained. "And oh my gosh, it's so wild to me."
Kyle even expressed that she was sad that Portia could run errands without her. "Now I'm like, 'What will I do with that extra time and how will I catch up with her in the morning when she's so busy?" Kyle noted. "Now she runs errands because she drives."
Kyle Richards reveals Portia Umansky's college plans for the future
As if this wasn't enough evidence of how much Portia has grown, she is now looking at colleges. Kyle appeared on the Tour de Wives panel at Bravo Fan Fest on Nov. 23 where she gave an update on Portia's college search.
"I started this show when Portia was in diapers and sleeping in a crib," she explained. "You saw Season 1, I was laying in a crib with her trying to get her to sleep. Now we're going to be touring colleges in the spring."
Portia even has a future school in mind. During a September Amazon Live Stream, Kyle revealed that Portia has her sights set on going to school in Florida. "She wants to go, she thinks, to the University of Miami for sports management," Kyle said.
