Kyle Richards Surprises Mauricio Umansky with a Jaw-Dropping Christmas Gift
The RHOBH mom presented the gift during her family's Aspen getaway.
Need more proof that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are still on great terms? Then just look at their recent Christmas celebration.
On Thursday, December 26, Kyle and Mauricio’s daughter Sophia Umansky posted a sweet video documenting the family’s Aspen getaway. At one point during the mini-vlog, Sophia revealed that Kyle had surprised Mauricio with multiple Christmas gifts, one of which was “an art piece” for his new home.
The framed artwork featured a cowboy riding horseback while overlooking a snowy landscape. Sophia didn’t reveal any more details about the large piece, but it was clear Mauricio both appreciated and liked it.

Kyle and Mauricio headed to Aspen earlier this month, along with the four daughters: Sophia, Portia, and Alexia Umansky, as well as Kyle’s oldest daughter, Farrah Brittany, from a previous marriage. As shown on Sophia’s TikTok, the family spent Christmas Eve in their Aspen vacation home, where they played games, drank a bit of wine, and enjoyed a delicious-looking home-cooked meal.
“Mom was cooking all day and dad was cutting the turkey,” Sophia said in the video before highlighting the beautiful tablescape. “Then it was time to sit down. So we gathered at the table… It was so good. My mom makes the best turkey.”
The meal included holiday staples, like mashed potatoes, rolls, and peas.
After dinner, Sophia gave her sisters a few Christmas gifts, like adorable cat slippers and Umitec makeup bags with built-in mirrors.
“Everyone was just loving it,” Sophia said about the latter item. “So I think I did very well with my gifts this year.”
The family rounded out the night with some sweet bakes, last-minute gift wrapping, a karaoke machine set up, and a movie.
“Every year, we stay in on Christmas Eve and we bake and we cook and we’re usually in our pajamas,” Sophia said in the video. “That’s just how we roll.”
Kyle reveals why she and Mauricio have yet to file for divorce
Kyle and Mauricio announced their separation in July of 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Although they’re no longer living under the same roof, the husband and wife have maintained a loving and supportive relationship. Kyle spoke about their dynamic during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, explaining why she and Mauricio have yet to file for divorce.
“That’s not something that we’ve talked about yet… It just hasn’t come up yet,” she said during the December 17 episode. “You know, we’re good friends, and we get along really well, and I don’t know, we just live separate lives and it just hasn’t come up yet. And when the time comes, obviously, we will address it.
“It’s hard and it’s not something either one of us feel comfortable initiating,” she continued. “We just kind of let it go and just really good friends, and we care about each other, and we get along, so it’s like, it is what it is right now.”
