Kyle Richards Declares "Let the Rumors Begin" About Kesha After They “Connected" (EXCLUSIVE)
Kyle Richards opened up about her close friendship with Kesha during the RHOBH After Show.
Kyle Richards is shedding new light on her friendship with Kesha after the singer popped up during Season 14, Episode 6 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (which aired January 7).
"I met Kesha over Instagram. She was following me on Instagram, and I followed her back, and we said, 'Oh, we should get together for dinner!'" Kyle began on the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. "I drove out, we went to Venice or something, and I sat down — you know when there's that person you automatically [click with]? We just started talking about everything and sharing everything and sharing all our secrets."
"I just automatically connected with her," Kyle continued while sitting alongside Erika Jayne. "She's just so sweet and has such a big heart. [She's] kind, not judgemental, talented, creative. So any way, we started hanging out and we became really close friends, fast."
The new information about Kyle and Kesha's friendship comes after the RHOBH cast member joked about their dynamic during Episode 6: "Yes, Kesha’s a musician. And we’re friends. So let the rumors begin."
When did Kyle Richards and Kesha become friends?
Kyle and Kesha started hanging out in early 2024. That March, they attended an Academy Awards viewing party hosted by Elton John’s AIDS Foundation together, and they've also gone skiing and gotten tattoos while hanging out at Kyle's Encino home.
What's more, Kyle has defended Kesha after she was subject to body shaming comments online. “I do not understand that. It’s 2024 and she’s gorgeous,” Kyle said about the criticism Kesha faced. “And she’s even more beautiful on the inside. I don’t know why people are still talking about women’s bodies. It’s 2024, they need to move on.”
Kyle Richards' joint friendship with Kesha and Morgan Wade
Kesha also knows another good friend of Kyle's: Morgan Wade. After connecting through Kyle, the singers worked on a tune together that appeared on Morgan’s fourth studio album, Obsessed.
"Kesha and Morgan ended up doing a song together, 'Walked on Water,' the song Morgan wrote," Kyle explained on the RHOBH After Show. "It's such a beautiful song."
She went on to describe Kesha as "very, very talented" and called their overall dynamic "so fun."
