Kyle Richards: How I Keep My Marriage Strong

The RHOBH star also shares whether she'd let her kids have plastic surgery.

Kyle Richards knows a thing or two about how to keep a marriage strong. So when asked how she keeps her decades-long marriage hot and heavy, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revealed how she keeps her union spicy.

And that means that she and hubby Mauricio (who married in 1996) make sure they get out of the house every once and while—without any of their four kids in tow.

"I think that respecting each other as individuals and just making each other a priority for date night, I know that sounds like such a cliche but it's true," she tells Parade. "We just like to keep our family tight and together all the time, I think that really gives you a strong foundation. I think it also has to do with the planets aligning, too."

So what kinds of restaurants do Kyle and Mauricio like to hit up during those must-have date nights? "We usually just go for sushi or Italian food and just sit in a booth together and talk," she said. "We try not to make everything about the kids and talk about other things, work, whatever's going on in our lives."

In addition to opening up about her marriage, Kyle dished about motherhood, sharing whether or not she would be comfortable with letting any of her daughters go under the knife to get plastic surgery.

"I guess it depends on what it would be. Most likely not, to be honest," she said. "But if they were adamant and they were an adult, I guess I would have to see what it was."

Kyle also makes some time for herself. When she's not being a mom or a wife, Kyle, of course, indulges in The Real Housewives franchise. "They're fun to watch," says Kyle, who has known Bethenny Frankel for decades and also counts NeNe Leakes as a pal. "It's interesting to me not only as a viewer, but as a fellow housewife to watch these shows. I also like Fargo and Shameless. My favorite other Housewives are probably Orange County and New Jersey."
