Why Fans Are Focused on Kyle Richards' Massive Cushion Cut Engagement Ring
People have been paying attention to the RHOBH cast member's rings amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky.
There’s been a lot of chatter about Kyle Richards and her engagement and wedding rings.
For starters, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member sparked rumors about a potential separation from Mauricio Umansky when she was spotted without her wedding ring in February 2023. (We since learned that Kyle and Mauricio are separated.)
Then, in Season 13 of RHOBH, a new ring on Kyle’s finger had the women wondering if it was a “make-up band” that resulted from cheating rumors. She denied that Mauricio had bought the new ring for her.
Most recently, she's been spotted without the rings again.
Kyle Richards’ Engagement Ring and Wedding Band
Kyle’s engagement ring features a cushion-cut diamond in a split-shank pave halo setting, according to Glamour.
In addition to her engagement ring, Kyle also has a diamond wedding band, which Glamour reported is actually three bands together: a pair of plain diamond bands with a channel-set diamond band between them.
Prior to her split from Mauricio, she often wore the two rings together while out and on the red carpet.

During the November 1, 2023 episode of RHOBH, Mauricio's mother, Estella, asked Kyle about rumored struggles in the longtime couple's relationship after seeing several online reports. "Generally I don't believe these things, but it's too much," Estella said. "Who started this?"
Kyle explained, "I was seen without my wedding ring, and people started the rumor." In an interview, she noted she was "very taken aback" by her mother-in-law's questions because that photo wasn't a completely accurate representation of what was going on in her life at the time.
"Yes, [Mauricio] and I have been having a hard time, but the picture of me without my ring has nothing to do with that," Kyle said in the episode interview. "I've still been wearing a wedding band, so why are people saying that because of one time when I was lifting weights before that?"
According to E! News, Kyle gave a similar explanation in a July Amazon Live. "I didn't have my ring on because I lift weights, and it will bend the ring, ruin the ring, and it hurts," she said. "So, I take the ring off when I'm lifting weights."

There were more questions surrounding Kyle’s jewelry in Season 13 Episode 6 during her dinner party. "I did notice the sapphire-and-diamond ring that she's wearing now," Sutton Stracke told Garcelle Beauvais in the episode. "It's brand new."
Later in the episode, Garcelle asked Kyle, "What's with the new band?"
When Sutton followed up by noting Kyle hadn't been wearing her wedding ring, Kyle explained, "It's in the bank, my big diamond."
Garcelle turned the conversation back to Kyle's new ring, asking if it was "a make-up band" from Mauricio. Kyle quickly shut that down, saying, "It wasn't a gift from Mauricio. I bought it myself."

Despite her efforts to quash rumors about her marriage during Season 13, Kyle didn't wear her wedding or engagement ring to the Season 13 reunion, which was taped on January 26, 2024.
