Kyle Richards Defends Mauricio Umansky From Camille Grammer: “Projecting”
RHOBH's Kyle Richards had strong feelings about Camille Grammer commenting on her separation from Mauricio Umansky.
Kyle Richards isn't here for Camille Grammer's comments about her split from Mauricio Umansky.
During Season 14, Episode 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Camille arrived at Kyle's "denim and diamonds" party. After greeting each other, Camille asked Kyle how she's holding up in the midst of her separation.
"It's been really rough. It just feels kind of weird. It's my first party [without him]," Kyle explained. "You know, he's at this bachelor pad. No responsibilities."
Camille, who finalized her divorce from Kelsey Grammer in 2011, responded, “It’s a party for them. Midlife crisis. 'This is fun.' Young girls...I know it. Been there, done that."
However, Kyle didn't take what Camille was saying to heart — and shared in a confessional that it doesn't really reflect her experience with Mauricio.
“I think that right now Camille is projecting a bit," she said. "Has Mau done a few things that I could’ve lived without that I’ve had to see on the internet? Yes, for sure. But Camille’s experience and my experience are both very different. I mean, it could be a lot worse.”
Are Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky on good terms?
Kyle and Mauricio remain on good terms despite the dissolution of their relationship.
“Oh yeah, we’ll see each other during the holidays,” Kyle told E! News during Bravo Fan Fest in November. “You know, we are a family. We have our daughters together. So, we’ll see each other during the holidays for sure.”
Where does Mauricio Umansky live amid separation from Kyle Richards?
The "bachelor pad" Kyle referenced in the episode is Mauricio's rental condo. As Kyle revealed on Season 14, Episode 3, Mauricio signed a six-month lease on the apartment.
"I think for Mau, saying to give it six months made it easy to transition from living here to going to a new place, and it also gives us the time to assess where we're at," she explained. "You live your life, I'll live my life, and maybe we'll reconvene in six months or so and see what happens. I don't know."
However, his decision to buy furniture instead of getting the place staged made the move feel a bit more permanent to Kyle.
"I thought, 'Oh, this does not seem very temporary,'" Kyle explained.
Have Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky filed for divorce?
No. Although they officially separated in the summer of 2023, the estranged couple has yet to file for divorce.
