Kristin Chenoweth Was Inspired by a Real Housewife — and Hannibal Lecter?! — in Her New Role
"The good, beautiful heart hopefully will pay homage to her,” the Trial & Error star said.
In addition to being one of the most adorably talented actresses out there, Kristin Chenoweth is also famous for her love of all things Bravo, from The Real Housewives to Vanderpump Rules to Below Deck.
So it was only a matter of time before Chenoweth's art would start imitating her life. For her upcoming role as Lavinia Peck-Foster, the eccentric grand dame of the small town of East Peck, in Season 2 of Trial & Error, Chenoweth channeled a wide array of real — and fictional — personalities. “There are all kinds of people I used [in her character],” Chenoweth told Page Six at the ATX TV Festival last week. “A little Carol Burnett, Madeline Kahn, Hannibal Lecter, Lisa Vanderpump. They’re all represented in this one woman.”
Luckily, it's just the nicest parts of Chenoweth's character that were inspired by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills restaurateur. “I looked at the style of Lisa, and I love her. I admire her," Chenoweth explained. "So, the good, beautiful heart hopefully will pay homage to her.”
We mean, who wouldn't take every opportunity to embody all the fabulousness of LVP?
