Kristen Doute Shares First Photo of Her Baby: "Healthy and Bopping Around"
The Valley cast member has given a peek at her first ultrasound photos as she shares updates on her pregnancy.
Kristen Doute has officially shared the first look at her baby girl amid her first pregnancy as she marks her second trimester. It's been a little less than a month since The Valley cast member announced that she is expecting her first child with her fiance, Luke Broderick, and now she is sharing more of her journey with her Instagram followers.
Kristen took to her Instagram Story this week, where she shared a photo of her ultrasound, taken during a visit to the doctor on Dec. 17. In the photo, Kristen and Luke's little girl's head can be seen, perfectly showing off her side profile. Although it's slightly unclear what view of her daughter can be seen in the second photo, the glimpse is truly adorable. And Kristen is so happy with these photos of her daughter.
"I'm in my second trimester," Kristen wrote in the caption of the post, tagging Luke alongside a gray heart. "It's the first trimester screening. IDK but she's healthy and bopping around."
This scan comes on the heels of a rough first trimester. During a Dec. 13 episode of her and Luke's podcast, Balancing Act with Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, she admitted that the first trimester had been hard on her. "I feel less crazy," she said.
"I feel less miserable. I truly would never want to do that — I mean, I would do it, I get it now," she added. "But those first eight to ten weeks, really the whole first trimester, but eight to ten weeks were just horrific...I was depressed. I was miserable. I couldn't get out of my head of being so miserable."
When is Kristen Doute's due date?
There is still plenty of time for Kristen to get more looks at her daughter because she isn't due until halfway through 2025. In an interview with People on Nov. 26, Kristen admitted that she is due early this summer, but did not give a specific date.
"Our due date is in June and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents!" she exclaimed.
Kristen Doute says she's excited for Luke Broderick to be a "girl dad"
This glimpse at her baby comes nearly a week after she announced to Us Weekly that she and Luke are having a girl. "Luke was made to be a girl dad," she told the publication.
Although both Kristen and Luke thought that they were having a boy at first, during that Dec. 13 episode of their podcast, they revealed that they are happy no matter what the baby's sex is. "Once you're pregnant, especially geriatric-ally pregnant, high-risk pregnant, old AF pregnant, you're just like, 'I want a healthy baby with all the chromosomes,'" Kristen said during the episode.
"Ultimately, for number two, I will be rooting for a boy, I will admit, already," Luke added.
"Samesies," Kristen noted. "I don't need two of me. I'm good with just one."
