Kory Keefer Speaks Out on His Split from Sam Feher: "So Sorry"

Samantha "Sam" Feher announced on January 16 that she and her boyfriend of over a year, Kory Keefer, broke up just before the holidays in December. Now, the Winter House cast member himself is speaking out about the split.

Kory Keefer Addresses His Split from Sam Feher
After Sam shared her side of the story on a podcast, Kory spoke to Page Six the same day. "Sam and I connected on so many levels but I believe we just weren’t meant for each other, and that’s the hardest truth to admit,” he said, with the caveat that he has "nothing but positive things to say" about their relationship.
That said, Kory also acknowledged that he "hurt" Sam throughout their time together, especially when he was flirting with Malia and Jordan in the Winter House. "[I'm] so sorry for that."
“Navigating any relationship is difficult and doing it on TV and in the public eye is next level,” he continued. “But I take full responsibility for how I acted on Winter House. It kills me to look back and see how my actions hurt Sam. I’m so sorry for that. I made this winter very very difficult for her.”
Where Kory Keefer Stands with Sam Feher Today
Following his break up from Sam, Kory said he's "been doing a lot of self reflection” to try and “grow as a man.”
When it comes to how he feels about Sam, Kory noted, “We had some amazing memories that I will always cherish and I was just so blessed to have had the time with her."
What's more, "She is such a special lady," he said. "Honestly, she’s just a beautiful, wonderful, loving woman."
Why Sam Feher Broke Up with Kory Keefer
Sam confirmed that Kory's behavior on Winter House Season 3 played a role in their split, but there were other factors that went into her decision, too. As she shared, "I had said [‘I love you’] to him and he never said it to me. He didn’t say it back when I said it and he then he never said it for the rest of the relationship. And that was really a big problem for me. I was like, ‘I think I need to get out.'"
"I didn’t break up with him because I don’t love him; I broke up with him because he doesn’t love me," Sam added. "And that's that."
Ultimately though, like Kory, Sam is grateful for her and Kory's time together. "I loved him for a long time," she concluded.
