The #DontBeTardy star kicked off Season 21 on Monday.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann officially took the dance floor — in a fierce gold costume — on the Dancing with the Stars premiere on Monday (September 14). The Don't Be Tardy star and her partner, Tony Dovolani, debuted their dancing skills during an elaborate Egyptian-themed salsa to "Hey Mama" by David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj, Afrojack, and Bebe Rexha.
They walked away from part one of the show's two-part premiere with a score of 12/30. Post show, Kim opened up about her debut performance to E! News. "It's a lot to take in. I think that yes, I get the dance, but letting go is a very hard thing to do for somebody who is in such control...it's something I need to work on. I'll work on it until I win," she shared. As for her emotions after she wrapped up the dance? "For me, it was tears of joy, happiness. I'm really proud of me, even though they don't think I did great, in my mind I did great," she added. With her dancing debut in the rearview, Kim made some time for her kids. "When your 20month old dances better than you," she joked on Instagram. "#DWTS #HappyToBeHome #MissMyBabies."
Part two of the DWTS premiere airs tonight (September 15) on ABC.
