Kim Zolciak Addresses Her Rumored Romance with "Great Guy" Chet Hanks: "You'll See..."
The Don't Be Tardy and RHOA alum spilled on her dating life following her split from Kroy Biermann.
Kim Zolciak is setting the record straight on her relationship with Chet Hanks.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum addressed the subject in a recent string of interviews, admitting she and Chet became close last year while filming Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets. A newly released trailer for the series showed the two cuddling in bed together, which, of course, led many to believe an on-screen romance was on the horizon.
Although Kim insisted she wasn't dating Chet, she remained tight-lipped on their rumored hookup.
“You’ll have to stay tuned, honey,” she told E! News about the circulating whispers.

Kim admits she didn't know who Chet Hanks was before meeting him
Kim and Chet filmed the upcoming reality series in the fall of 2023, just several months after the Don’t Be Tardy mom announced her marital split from Kroy Biermann. Kim confessed she was unfamiliar with Chet — the actor/musician son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson —before filming the show and had to get the lowdown from her oldest daughter.
“I had to call Brielle [Biermann], and ask who Chet was,” the former Atlanta ’Wife said. “She’s like, ‘Mom, there’s only one Chet in the world.’ I’m like, ‘Chet who?’ She’s like, ‘Hanks.’”
Kim reveals the last time she spoke to Chet Hanks
Kim said she instantly clicked with Chet during the two-week production and has kept in contact with him ever since.
“Chet’s a great guy,” she said in another interview with People magazine. “I mean, he’s adorable. We’ve had a lot of incredible moments throughout the season that you’ll see. We’ve had some deep conversations and he’s great… I just talked to Chet yesterday.”

Kim said filming the series was a “great experience” and provided a much-needed escape from her marriage issues.
“I needed some time away from the actual house to gain some clarity going through this divorce and kind of focused more back on Kim,” she continued. “There’s a lot that’s gone on in my life in the last year and a half that people have the completely wrong perception of and that’s because I just, out of respect for my children, just don’t talk. I don’t talk. I think people will see things that they’ll be surprised about what I’m going through.”
Has Kim started dating since her split from Kroy Biermann?
Kim also confirmed she has not re-entered the dating scene since filing to divorce Kroy after 11 years of marriage.
“I haven’t been dating anyone or anything throughout this whole process,” she told E! News. “Just focus on the kids and myself and falling in love with Kim again, doing things for Kim. I don’t know what the future holds. It’s been a rough, rocky road.”
