Katie Maloney-Schwartz Says Supporting Kristen Doute Became “Poison"

The beef rages on over Kristen Doute's break-up with Brian Carter on Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. While Kristen is trying to maneuver her split from Carter, her pals, especially Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Stassi Schroeder, are upset that she is still letting him hold onto certain aspects of their relationship. It's a feud that led to a break between Kristen with Stassi and Katie.

After a fan shared their theory as to why Katie and Stassi felt the need to cut ties with Kristen, Katie agreed with it (see below) and added in some additional context from her point of view on the matter. "I have been silent regarding a pretty big topic and found a comment that said it better than I could honestly. It’s been a hard couple of years. I have so much love for Kristen and have supported her to the point it became truly difficult," Katie wrote. "It became poison."

In the Vanderpump Rules clip above, Stassi offered up her take on the issues with Kristen.

When Kristen stopped by The Daily Dish HQ recently, she opened up more about her issues with Katie and Stassi this season.

"No, I really don't understand what the witches' problem is," she said earlier this season. "I don't get it... With Katie and Stassi, I'm gonna figure it out as I watch the rest of the season. Hopefully I will figure out why they ended our friendship."

Kristen noted that, in general, last summer was particularly tough on her. 

"There were a lot of aspects of the summer that were really hard because it was like going through my break-up with Carter, moving out of my apartment, buying a house for the first time, doing all of that on my own, and then having my two best friends kick me to the curb," she said, referring to her falling-out with Stassi and Katie. "So that wasn't so much fun. It was a little difficult."
