Kathy Wakile Recalls the Last Time She Filmed with Teresa Giudice: "Shocked"
The RHONJ alum reflects on her last encounter with her cousins Teresa and Joe Gorga on the show.
Tensions between Kathy Wakile and her family during her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey were incredible high, to say the least. Over the course of her tenure on the show, her relationship with her cousins Teresa Giudice as well as Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga became increasingly strained and remain so to the this day. When Kathy sat down with Bravo Insider's Life After Bravo, she reflected on the last time she filmed with Teresa and Joe.
During that final sit-down with her family, including Kathy's sister Rosie Pierri, back in Season 7, Teresa likened her relationship with her cousin to "cancer" and it was that comment that left Kathy "shocked" by her choice of phrase. That moment ended up being the final straw for the RHONJ alum.
"So I just went with it. OK, this is it. I'm done," she added about that conversation, before elaborating more about that emotional sit-down in the clip above. Kathy also noted that it was extra hurtful to hear her call her that given that she had a parent who had cancer at one point.
Prior to the sit-down, Kathy wanted to have the meeting to show viewers that no matter what there is "hope for a resolution," but "I didn't expect it to go like that." So, in the end she felt she was "just done."
