As a longtime supporter of the LGBT community, it’s no surprise that Kathy Griffin names Jodie Foster’s “non-announcement announcement” speech as her favorite moment during this year’s Golden Globes. So what about second place?

“I also loved when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler came out with the drinks and looked at Lena Dunham and said, 'Oh, I'm so glad we got you through middle school' after they lost,” Kathy 'fessed to OnTheRedCarpet.com after hearing the Girls’ breakout star acknowledge her Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series, Comedy competition. “It's great to have a sense of humor.”

Close your eyes and ears, Tina and Amy, because the Kathy host was probably pulling for Lena’s freshman win all along. “I'm a big Girls fan -- I love everything that show represents," she continues raving about the HBO favorite that also claimed victory in the Best Comedy or Musical category (and gave a random shout out to Chad Lowe during their acceptance speech). "I wish there had been a show for me when I was that age. But now when I watch it, I feel like I'm that age."
