Craig Conover Is "Always Rooting" for Kathryn C. Dennis and Thomas Ravenel
The #SouthernCharm pal offers an update on the former couple.
When it comes to Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn C. Dennis trying to work out their issues and figure out a plan to co-parent their two young kids, there is no one hoping the former Southern Charm couple can put its differences aside more than Craig Conover. And even if he doesn't keep in touch with them frequently, he did share that he wants nothing but the best for them.
"I haven't seen much of them at all recently. You know, they're going through some serious stuff and, you know, I was handling my own stuff with [my girlfriend]. Naomie [Olindo] and I were trying to figure ourselves out," he recently shared with The Daily Dish. "I've talked to them a few times, but they're doing their own thing. So I really haven't been around Thomas and Kathryn. But I hope they're doing well. We're always rooting for them."
In fact, the duo served as a source of inspiration of sorts while Craig was working on his law school thesis paper, he previously revealed. "It took me about eight months to write the thesis. It was about 50 pages long. It's funny 'cause it was on parental rights and unmarried fathers. In some states in the South, they don't have paternity 'cause it's not based on DNA. It's based on whether you were married or signed the birth certificate. And it was my teacher's idea. I wrote on her topic, but it kind of tied in Thomas and Kathryn," he said. "So I had this couple in the back of my head that I was drawing examples from in my paper, which was funny."
At the time, Craig shared some of the lessons he learned with Kathryn following his work with the Guardian Program in Charleston. "I had so many hours with the program representing kids who had been taken from their parents and helping parents get visitation rights and stuff like that that I was able to share some of my experiences with Kathryn and tell her some of the things and programs and plans that I used to draw up for the moms that I had in trying to get them their kids back," he said. "So I was at least able to draw from some of my experiences for her."
