Kandi Burruss Calls out Todd Tucker for Going to the Club with Apollo Nida After Their Baby Was Born
The RHOA couple opens up about the surprising turn the first few days of Blaze's life has taken.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have just welcomed a new daughter, Blaze, into their family on November 22, but that doesn't mean that they're seeing eye-to-eye about how to handle the situation just days into the baby's life, specifically how Todd is adjusting to having a newborn in the house.
"He pissed me off. Like, seriously. I told him, 'Sir, we need to go to counseling or something because I do not like you right now.' I feel like he was being selfish. Obviously, when it's time to do the late night hours, he just don't try to chip in whatsoever," Kandi said on an episode of her YouTube show, where she was joined by her husband.
Kandi further said, "I don't sleep a lot. I already knew I was going to be on my own with the late shift because that's how he was with Ace. But once again like with Ace, this is where he pissed me off. He decided he wanna go out, and go to the club. She ain't even a week old yet! Two nights in a row!"
Todd then tried to explain that she was aware of his nights out, but she still wasn't too keen on the partying.
"The first night you went out, I already told you that I was kind of hurt by that," Kandi said. "I thought you were going to take a little notice of how I felt and try and take that into consideration. The next day, we got up. I didn't even bring it up... the next day on Thanksgiving there was football game," she said, noting she was mostly OK with him going since he promised to come home early.
Then, enter Apollo Nida. Kandi explained, "After the game, he comes calling me talking about, 'Oh, I just seen Apollo at the thing. We about to go out.'"
Todd thought he was being "responsible" because he called her before he went out. Kandi said she was mostly "tripping" about the outing because he stayed out way later than she thought he would.
Todd also justified his actions by likening it to Kandi spending time on social media or leaving town to go work on projects. In the end, they decided they needed to come up with a better schedule for how to handle splitting the parenting duties.
"So, fellas, the big lesson: Do not go out in the first seven days. It's just not fair, it's not right," Todd said and then apologized to his wife.
This season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi had another discussion with Todd about his partying ways, including the time when he took his 23-year-old daughter, Kaela, to a strip club. You can check out their conversation, below.
