Josh Flagg Lists Gloria Vanderbilt’s Former House For $16M: "First Time on The Market"

The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent's new listing has special ties to Anderson Cooper's mom.

By Casey Suglia

Josh Flagg has a new listing that has some familial ties to Andy Cohen's BFF, Anderson Cooper. The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent is no stranger to listing some gorgeous, historic houses, nestled within the Hollywood landscape, and this new listing is no exception to that. Josh took to Instagram on Jan. 29, where he revealed that the "Gloria Vanderbilt estate" is on the market for the first time in 72 years and he's the agent to call if you're interested in purchasing it.

How to Watch

According to Page Six, the house was briefly leased by Anderson's grandmother, Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt. Although she didn't live there, Anderson's mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, did visit the home when she was 17 years old, according to the publication.

Not only is the home rich with Hollywood history (more on that below), but it's spacious enough to host hundreds of guests. "Seldom does a residence on the best block on the best street in the Flats become available," Josh wrote in the caption of the post. The house boasts six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, a built-in pool, can host up to 400 guests and can accommodate up to 14 cars.

"This sprawling, nearly 30,000+ SqFt flat lot, privately framed by mature landscaping, boasts a massive pool, covered patio, and a guest house," he continued in the caption. "Intentionally set back from the street, exuding magnificent grandeur, this traditional abode features a grand living room, impressive library, expansive primary suite, and five additional bedrooms. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Josh Flagg's newest listing has unique ties to Hollywood

According to the listing, the house had some famous visitors. After being leased by Gloria Vanderbilt, the house was then purchased by Noreen Nash. The nearly 100-year-old house, built in 1928, has had many famous visitors over the years, including Elvis, Warren Beatty, Bob Evans, Ali McGraw, and Henry Miller, who was married at the estate.

What else is Josh Flagg doing in his real estate career?

But Josh isn't only dealing with California properties. In late December, it was announced that Josh brokered "a major property acquisition" for a retail building on SoHo's Mercer Street, purchased by Flagg Family Capital, which is owned by Josh's parents. Now that the property has been closed on, Flagg Family Capital will spend the next nine months completing renovations. Josh took to Instagram on Jan. 2, where he shared the big news. "Hello Manhattan!" he wrote in the caption of the post.

This purchase came on the heels of Josh selling a nearly $11 million house in California at the end of December. Josh took to his Instagram account on Dec. 20 where he revealed that he "just sold" the one-of-a-kind house with a modern interior, designed by architect Steve Hermann and located in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood in Beverly Hills.
