John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan are ready to take the plunge. The rocker and the rom-com queen are officially engaged, she confirmed on Instagram on Thursday (November 8). Meg shared the news on the social media platform alongside a sketch of herself and the musician, who is, of course, dad to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the actress was spotted out with a piece of bling that looked a lot like an engagement ring on Halloween, leading to speculation the couple were "ENGAGED!" as Meg simply confirmed on Instagram.

Meg and John have been involved with each other for close to a decade. They began dating in 2010, but have broken up and gotten back together several times. Us Weekly reports that the pair rekindled their on-off romance in 2017. The actress was spotted in NYC this week with her ring on, the publication noted.

This marks the fourth marriage for John. He was married to Teddi's mom, Victoria Granucci, from 1981 to 1989. He has five children in total, including the RHOBH accountability coach, from his past relationships.

Previously, Meg was married to Dennis Quaid from 1991 to 2001. Together they have a son, Jack. She also has an adopted daughter, Daisy True Ryan.
