Joe Gorga Emotionally Reflects on His Rift with Teresa: "I'm Not Gonna Be There"
After attending a wedding, Joe Gorga discussed the family milestones he'll miss as a result of his feud with his sister, Teresa Giudice.
Weddings have a way of triggering deep thoughts about family and the future.
After officiating his cousin’s nuptials, Joe Gorga got emotional reckoning with the hard reality that his estranged sister Teresa Giuidice would miss out on his children’s major life moments.
“It makes me think of my sister and I say, ‘She won't be at my kids’ weddings,’” Joe said in the revealing confessional, as seen in a new preview for Season 14, Episode 9 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Joe then recalled what he himself would be missing, saying, “My nieces will be getting married, and I’m not gonna be there.”
Where does Joe Gorga stand with Teresa Giudice today?
Joe’s wife, Melissa Gorga, and Teresa endured a rocky, hot-and-cold relationship for years before jointly deciding to stay out of each other’s lives on Season 13 of RHONJ.
The Gorgas opted not to attend Teresa’s wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas, and the couples weren’t even on speaking terms for last season’s reunion.

That silence, bad blood, and lack of contact continues now. That’s been hard for Joe, who grew up “best friends” with Teresa, he said during a Sherri appearance.
But, he added, “I can’t be around somebody trying to hurt me.”
He even recently burned an unopened card Teresa sent to him.
Those sad thoughts were top of mind for Joe following a truly joyous occasion. At 44, Joe proudly got ordained in order to officiate the marriage of Melissa’s cousin, Nicholas Marco, and his partner, meteorologist Mike Masco.
As the festive and formally attired event began, Joe welcomed friends and family.
“Good evening, everyone,” he said. “My name is Joe Gorga. And today it’s ‘Father Joe.’”
Gathered guests cheered, as Joe addressed the happy grooms.
“To my cousins, my best friends,” he said. “I love you both,” he said.
Later, Joe reflected on the wedding, his role in it, and the acceptance and love he has felt from the get-go.
“It was just a beautiful moment,” he said. “When I met Mike we really connected because he doesn’t have a family.”
Then Joe thought about his kids (Antonia, Joey, and Gino) and Teresa and her children (Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana).
“I think of my sister and I say, ‘Well, she won't be at my kids’ weddings,’” Joe emotionally confessed.
And it hit him. “My nieces will be getting married,” he said, “and I’m not gonna be there.”
