Joe Giudice's Deportation Appeal Denied as His Legal Team Vows to "Continue to Fight"
A lawyer for the RHONJ husband reveals what's next in his ongoing legal woes.
After filing an appeal in November 2018 in connection with his ongoing immigration and deportation case, a lawyer for Joe Giudice has confirmed to The Daily Dish that the appeal has been denied. However, his legal team is working to keep The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband in the United States.
“We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal," Giudice family attorney James J. Leonard Jr. said in a statement on Thursday (April 18). "We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters.”
E! News first reported on the latest in Joe's ongoing legal case on April 18. Teresa Giudice's husband was released from FCI Allenwood Low in Allenwood, Pennsylvania in March after serving a 41-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud charges in 2014. At the time, his attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., confirmed to The Daily Dish that he has since been moved "to a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees."
