Jewel and Ty Murray Announce 'It's A Boy!'

Bring on the blue! Besides hosting Bravo's upcoming songwriting competition show Platinum Hit, Jewel is also busy prepping for a new man to come into her life.

"We would have been happy either way, of course, but we are so excited to be having a little boy," the mom-to-be dishes to People. Married in 2008 in the Bahamas, this is the first child for Jewel and her rodeo champ husband Ty Murray.

The next Mr. Murray will make his arrival this summer and call the couple's Texas ranch home. Jewel struggled for two years to have a baby, and learned she was expecting on her first day of work for Platinum Hit. "I took a pregnancy test and it was positive," the 36-year-old told the magazine. "It was so hard to keep it a secret. I was worried I'd start throwing up on set and everyone would be like, 'Oh, she's pregnant.'"

Now that the gender of her baby's no longer a mystery, a giddy Jewel tweeted, "Guess we are going to have a wee rock n' roll cowboy! :)" And the mom-to-be doesn't have plans to slow down that rodeo lifestyle. "Bout 2 take a day ride on my pregnancy-mobile called a Spyder- all the fun of a motorcycle but safer," she tweeted.
